Website and business owners ask themselves, "How Can I Recreate My Own Website?"

Wed, 14 Mar 2012 15:52:32 EST

According to an inbound marketing company HubSpot, a websites longevity can go well beyond what the owners may believe.

You may be thinking 'how can I recreate my website when I feel it is looking outdated, and aesthetically boring?' but the stats of existing websites who have maintained their appearance over time are suprising.

Examples such as Google, Facebook and YouTube have kept their design as much the same as they were, when first launched. Upon analysis their updates and modifications have been implemented based on the movement of current technology trends and regulatory standards, and their design have led to becoming their brand.

So What Is The Problem?

You may consider this a harsh fact but it really doesn't matter what the owner of a website thinks. It's imperative that the basic principles of what made it a success in the first place are not discarded. The age old proverb of 'why re-invent the wheel?' comes to mind.

So What Is The Solution?

The current increase in social media and interactivity for customers has been significant in online business. With major corporations using social networking sites to promote their business, the competition can seem like a daunting obstacle.

Yet there are steps to consider when analyzing the functionality of websites content and bypassing competitors.

  1. Being focused on building attraction for customers. Customers are proactively looking for products or information online. Consider projecting the message through a sophisticated form of networking rather than relying on a single focused form of advertising.
  2. The more content on a website, the more visitors. Websites with fresh content being produced and published on a daily basis, naturally gain visitors. Submitting new content to various social networks. E.g. Twitter, Facebook, and You Tube will drive prospects to a website funneled by various interests that users of these particular sites have subscribed to. Typical examples of audience consumption would be:

    Videos
    Photos
    Blogs
    Free giveaways
    Free subscriptions
    Webinars
    Presentations
    Podcasts

  3. Online presence is a necessity for Google to rank a website highly in their rankings. This gives an authority and influence that can help the owner of a website exert dominance over their competitors. It has also been recommended by the industry's leading experts to concentrate 75% of your SEO efforts in building an off-page reputation.

Bottom Line:

If your website has not been updated with the integration of various social media links, then this is a marketing strategy that needs to be implemented swiftly to catch up with the times. If not, you could see your business decreasing in sales and conversions rapidly. The good news is that the online industry makes it possible for a business to retain its credibility with effective marketing strategy's.
