Seattle's Funk Innovators, Tip to Base, Headline Hottest Funk Show in Decades

Fri, 9 Mar 2012 09:48:45 EST

Seattle, WA, USA, March 9, 2012 –  Funk Innovators Tip to Base and the Fabulous Party Boys will be hosting a joint CD release party at Nectar Lounge in Fremont at 8pm.

Tip to Base and The Fabulous Party Boys will be playing songs from their debut albums, along with a set from  special guest Spyn Reset who just released their second album "Four Dimensional Audio" in January of this year at the Crocodile.  This show is guaranteed to be a crazy party, with some of Seattle's funkiest bands playing music that will make you want to dance until last call.

The Fabulous Party Boys' self-titled debut album is their first studio album. Recorded at Robert Lang Studios in Seattle, Washington, and mastered and engineered by Vincent LaBelle, the seven-song album balances vocal and instrumental tunes.  The album has their characteristic heavy funk style and showcases their improvisational abilities throughout.  Seattle-born pop singer Paget is featured on two tracks, including the single "Shower Together", making this a well-rounded debut that redefines what it means to funk.

Tip to Base is releasing a six song disc titled "No Consequences" that can be previewed on the band's Facebook page.  These innovators bring funk to the masses by packaging it in memorable three to five minute gems. Elements of hip-hop, jazz, punk and classic rock are woven through slap-bass driven progressions, garnished with sexy guitar licks.   If you've never been lucky enough to have the full Tip to Base Concert Experience, you'll have a hard time stopping yourself from dancing to their high energy show and contagious 'bring the party' antics.

In addition, Tip to Base will actually be giving away the album to anyone who buys advance tickets online and redeems them at the show on Friday, March 16 at Nectar.  Tickets can be purchased by searching for "Tip to Base" on Ticketmaster's website or following the links below.
