DENVER, Colo.—October 30, 2012— American Lighting, a manufacturer and distributor of lighting technologies for residential, commercial and specialty markets, is introducing the next wave of energy-efficient linear lighting - the LED Tape-Rope Hybrid light.  The flexible lighting option has the low profile form factor of tape light but works like line voltage rope light, making it a versatile alternative for a wide range of indoor and outdoor lighting applications. 
  
Designed as the next generation of linear lighting, the LED Tape-Rope Hybrid is easy to work with and does not require an additional power supply. Users simply plug it in to standard 120V receptacles for an even and bright light that is 10 times brighter than regular rope light. In addition, the Hybrid light uses 75 percent less energy than incandescent rope and lasts twice as long. The small, rectangular profile is 25 percent narrower and almost 60 percent shorter than the ½ inch diameter rope light. 

The LED Tape-Rope Hybrid comes in five lengths – 3 feet, 6 feet, 12 feet, 30 feet and 60 feet – and is available in blue, green, white, warm white and red color options. Packaged in a convenient kit that includes the power cord and mounting clips, individual lengths of the Tape Rope Hybrid light may be interconnected up to 192 feet.  The product is also UL Listed and dimmable with most standard incandescent dimmers.
