International customers can now access all the benefits of SAS either through enterprise hosting or Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) as SAS rolls out additional local country hosting capabilities later this quarter.

Until now, SAS Solutions OnDemand has primarily hosted applications at SAS global headquarters in Cary, NC, with additional facilities in the United Kingdom and the Netherlands. With the evolution of cloud computing and SaaS, SAS' worldwide customer base has grown more than 50 percent each of the past four years. Customers – particularly those in financial services or health care – increasingly require local country hosting of their sensitive data to address perceived risks related to privacy and security of such data.

By expanding hosting internationally, SAS Solutions OnDemand can offer local country hosting that meets the company's high security and process standards. SAS will partner with local operations that match its security certifications (SOC2, SOC3 and Safe Harbor) and state-of-the-art processes. With the expansion, international SAS customers can now access SAS solutions and technology quickly and cost-effectively while meeting all local security requirements.
