However, both the absence management field and the methods DMEC uses to keep employees on the job and productive, as well as emphasize early and successful return to work, have changed tremendously.
 
'Who would have guessed that metrics, predictive modeling or compliance would be the hot topics back in 1992?  Yet, best practices in the fundamentals like return-to-work and case management continue to serve the needs of our members,' says DMEC CEO and Co-Founder, Marcia Carruthers. 'The best outcome from my vantage point is that the concept of integration is both enduring and successful. That is a testament to the thousands of DMEC members who saw the vision and continued with their passionate work to make it a lasting model.'
