The ability to send tweets and text messages in the shower has become a growing trend, proving that us consumers would rather never set down our mobile devices. This trend has led to the emergence of popular iPhone case maker LifeProof and their line of waterproof cases. Although they are quite expensive, retail $79.99 on their website, the case has got glowing reviews all over the internet for it's dependability.

LifeProof is hoping that these same affluent customers will choose to keep their iPad safe with one of their products as well. The nuud is taking advantage of being the first waterproof iPad case to market coming in at a retail price of $160. Only time will tell if consumers think the cost is worth it to keep their precious iPad's safe.

One benefit of this new product for consumers is it has drove the price of the iPhone cases down. The LifeProof iPhone cases could almost be considered cheap found here for $45. The cases had been selling on amazon for low prices of about $62 on average until this release. The Purple LifeProof case was the hottest seller, with it's demand raising the price to the low 70's.

It is inevitable that the popularity of this product will drive the price back up in the near future so you might want to take advantage of the current low price and buy one now.
