The literature details the Full View Flow Indicator in terms of its construction, mounting style, indication options, and design and maintenance features. The metal heads come standard in 316 stainless steel or carbon steel, with other alloys (Monel®, Alloy 20, and Hastelloy®) available by special order. For use with harsh process products that react with metal, Teflon-lined heads are available. Gaskets are standard in neoprene or PTFE, and gaskets made of several other materials are also available for special applications.

Indication options include a drip tube, a ball, and a flutter indicator. The drip tube permits observation of very low flows and condensing moisture. The flutter indicator is a ribbon-like structure that flaps in response to flow. It is ideal for observation of clear gases, even at low rates of flow. The Teflon ball indicates flow by oscillating inside the tubular sight glass.

The indicator's features include delivery from stock in most cases, a smooth investment-cast surface-finish, a clear plastic impact shield, and acrylic enamel coating (on carbon steel units.) Metal shields are also available for use in applications where moderate mechanical strain is present on the pipeline. Standard flanged units are available in sizes from 1 to 4 inches with pressure ratings from 70 to 150 psi. Threaded units are available in sizes from 1/8 inch to 2 inches.
