The accreditation action is effective as of the official site visit date on November 16, 2011. This means that all nursing students, including the first cohort admitted in October 2009, are able to state they graduated from a CCNE accredited program. The nursing program admits qualified students interested in pursuing a career in nursing every 10 weeks, and has graduated 26 students to date.

According to Dr. Sharron Guillett, Dean of the Nursing program at the Falls Church and Woodbridge campuses, 'CCNE accreditation is the hallmark of excellence. It indicates that the program is not only of the highest quality but that it is also committed to maintaining the highest standards in nursing education. It will create opportunities for the program and the students it serves.'

Stratford is also currently enjoying a 100 percent pass rate on the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX), another indicator of program effectiveness. Dr. Guillett credits the program's success to the dedicated faculty and the 'student centric' philosophy they embrace.
