Environmental Consultants Respond to CDCs New Lead Guidelines

Last month, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) announced they had accepted an advisory committee's recommendation to redefine the level of lead in children considered at risk for lead poisoning.  The CDC's 'level of concern' has been reduced from 10 micrograms per deciliter to just 5.
 
This change will increase the number of children considered at risk to well over 400,000.  The news has quickly caught the attention of medical professionals who deal with lead poisoning and environmental consultants who test and remove lead from homes, schools and other buildings.
