The purchase follows Triple Crown Corporations' acquisition of the nearby Colonial Golf & Tennis Club in 2009. The properties are roughly 1.5 miles apart. The company will merge the two clubs into a dual-club concept called The Clubs at Colonial Ridge, to be managed by property management company Brown Management.

Blue Ridge Country Club adds a number of amenities to enhance the joint club's experience:

The company stopped new home construction completely in 2012. DiSanto says it was a strategic decision.

"We expect growth to slow in the single-family home market while demand for rentals and commercial real estate continues to rise. So that's the direction we're taking the company," adds DiSanto.
