Electromagnetic Field Expert to Present at the 2012 AIHce Conference

Mon, 23 Apr 2012 11:25:56 EST

For over 75 years, professionals involved with industrial hygiene and environmental health and safety have relied on the American Industrial Hygiene Conference and Expo (AIHce) to learn about the latest technologies and research that impacts their profession.  This year, thousands of professionals from across the globe will converge in Indianapolis on June 16th for the 2012 AIHce Conference and Expo.  One of this year's leading educational sessions will include a roundtable discussion entitled, Nonionizing Radiation in Health Care Settings

Stuart Bagley, MS, CIH, CSP, will be a member of the roundtable discussion and will focus his presentation on how electromagnetic fields affect employees with pacemakers or defibrillators.  'I look forward to sharing my knowledge of electromagnetic fields and how they can impact workers,' reported Mr. Bagley.  'We anticipate this roundtable session will be one of the most popular at this year's AIHce Conference and we look forward to a spirited discussion on this important topic.' The roundtable will take place on Monday, June 18th at 10:30 a.m.  More information is available at http://aihce2012.org/course/nonionizing-radiation-in-health-care-settings.

According to the AIHce conference listing, 'Use of nonionizing radiation is increasing in health care settings.  NIR is used for therapeutic and diagnostic purposes, such as lasers used in surgery and dental procedures.  In addition, exposure to NIR is a concern to patients with embedded medical devices who may need to avoid high EMF areas or change work practices.  This roundtable will address several topics relevant to IHs in general practice and in the health care industry.'

Mr. Bagley is the founder of EMF Testing USA, a distinguished electromagnetic field testing firm and is one of the leading experts in his field.  He is a Board Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) and Safety Professional (CSP). Mr. Bagley's education includes a Master of Science degree in Industrial Hygiene and a Bachelor's degree in Biology. Mr. Bagley has over twenty eight years of experience and has performed electromagnetic field investigations at residential, commercial and institutional settings throughout the United States.
