However, since Bayer has started settling the Yaz and Yasmin cases, as well as the Ocella lawsuits, it appears that Bayer is not going to attempt to make an argument that Ocella is covered under the ruling protecting generic drugs from lawsuits.

These drugs all use the hormone, Drospirenone, which studies have found can more than double the risk for a blood clot related injury. Aware that the settlement process for these lawsuits can be extremely time consuming, Bayer is cooperating with the plaintiff's lawyers to settle these cases.

This sincere effort by Bayer is encouraging news for the many women harmed by taking Yaz, Yasmin, or Ocella.
