Governor Robert Bentley on Thursday will unveil the updated Fallen Soldier Memorial at the Alabama State Capitol. The memorial is a tribute to Alabamians who died while serving in the military since September 11, 2001. The names of nine Alabamians have been added since the memorial was last updated in October of 2010.
Joining Governor Bentley at the event will be Alabama Adjutant General Perry Smith and members of the Gold Star Wives and Gold Star Families of America.
The event begins at 11:00 a.m. in the Old Supreme Court Library at the State Capitol.
