Plans for a Veteran’s Day celebration in Anniston have been scheduled for Sunday, November 11 at Centennial Memorial Park. Ken Rollins, a member of the state’s Board of Veteran’s Affairs, stated that events will begin at 11am at the park on Quintard Avenue and will include a 21-gun salute for military and public service veterans. A parade will follow at 2- o’clock in downtown Anniston. According to the US Department of Veteran’s Affairs, Alabama is home to more than 400,000 military veterans.
