TRUSSVILLE - AL - 6:55 PM: One person is dead and five others, including children, are injured after a one-car accident on I-59 North in Trussville.
Rescue crews responded to the area of Exit 141 after a car that was traveling southbound lost control and flipped into the northbound land. Items from the car were strewn across the highway as the car came to a rest on its roof. An adult male, two adult females, and three children were all in the car. The male victim had to be removed from the vehicle and Lifesaver was dispatched. The man died during extrication, so Lifesaver was turned away.
The two females and the three children have all been transported to the hospital with minor cuts and bruises. The accident is still under investigation.
