A man from Piedmont has been arrested and charged with sexual abuse, the Etowah County Sheriff's Office reports. Authorities say Jeffery Lee Mosley, 39, allegedly abused a 31-year-old female victim at a location on Mosley Road. The abuse reportedly happened on July 13. U.S. Marshals took Mosley into custody on Aug. 2. He has been charged with one count of first degree sexual abuse, which is a felony, according to investigator Tracey Bishop. Mosley is being held in the Etowah County Detention Center on a $25,000 bond.
