Oxford police are looking for two additional suspects in connection to the murder of a Talladega man. Police have one suspect in custody, Cameron Lavorus White, a 29-year-old from Talladega. White faces charges of murder and attempted murder and is being held on a $1 million bond in the Oxford city jail.
White is accused of shooting and killing a man named Barry Wright on Saturday night. The shooting happened in the 300 block of Alice Street around 8 p.m. July 21, Lt. L.G. Owens with Oxford PD said. The two other suspects in the case have not yet been captured. Authorities obtained additional warrants for Raphael Lamar Simmons, 23, and Terry Shondell Thomas, 25, on Tuesday. Both men are from Talladega County and should be considered armed and dangerous, Owens said. Anyone with information about the location of either Thomas or Simmons is asked to call a local police department or Oxford police at their tip line, (256) 835-6122, or their main number, (256) 831-3121.
