The Harpersville Police Department says they are investigating a stabbing death. On 10:50 p.m. on Wednesday night, officers say they received a call reporting a stabbing at a residence. At the scene, 55-year-old Humphrey Keith was found on the living room floor. Keith was unresponsive and appeared to have a stab wound to the chest. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Witness at the scene told officers that they saw 35-year-old Shonta Cohill stab Keith. She was taken into custody and has been charged with murder. Cohill is being held in the Shelby County Jail on a $75,000 bond.
