After arresting a man for robbing a Huddle House in Alexandria, investigators linked the suspect to 10 other crimes committed in several Calhoun County cities. Mareo Burton was identified as the suspect in a June 26 robbery of a Huddle House. The robbery happened around 11:45 p.m. Investigators were told that a black male entered the Huddle House, said he was armed and demanded money from the register. The clerk complied, handed over the money, and the suspect fled on foot. Officials took Burton into custody less than 18 hours after the robbery occurred, according to Calhoun County Sheriff's Office Chief Deputy Matthew Wade Wade says after Burton's arrest, investigators were able to link him to the following crimes investigated by four law enforcement agencies in Calhoun County:
