Alabama Power is sending crews to Florida to help restore power for people who lost it when Tropical Storm Debby hit the shore. A total of 382 workers from Alabama have been mobilized, including 218 Alabama Power employees and 164 contractors released by Alabama Power to help with the relief efforts. The contract crews left on Monday and all Alabama Power crews left Tuesday from Birmingham, Anniston, Tuscaloosa and Montgomery.
