Family members of a woman whose vehicle crashed into a West Memphis funeral home say she suffered a seizure before the deadly accident occurred.
Authorities say an Alabama toddler was killed at the Roller-Citizens Funeral Home late Thursday. Police Chief Donald Oakes says the vehicle careened off the road and slammed into the building where the child and her family were attending a visitation.
Lisa Rains stated that her cousin, Shannon Morgan, had just left the Crossroads Cafe after finishing her shift as a waitress when the accident occurred.
3-year-old Bella Rushing was flown by medical helicopter to a Memphis hospital, where she later died. Her 5-year-old sister and mother were released after treatment at separate hospitals, but her grandmother remained hospitalized in critical condition.
