The Etowah County Sheriff's Department says they have arrested a man in connection to a rape investigation. 26-year-old Jonathan Rios Ortiz faces one count of 2nd degree rape, a felony. Rios is accused of raping a 14-year-old victim in August at her Boaz residence. Investigators say the suspect and victim were acquaintances. Ortiz was arrested on Thursday. He is being held in the Etowah County Jail on a $25,000 cash bond.
