Gadsden police are investigating a shooting between two suspects and a homeowner that happened Monday.
The homeowner told police he went to get a leaf blower from his car, and when he walked out of his back door, he saw two black males standing behind a trash can at the corner of his home, Captain Bobby Jackson said. Jackson says one of the men began shooting at the homeowner, who responded by getting a rifle from inside his house and shooting back. The suspects fled the scene and have not been caught. The man told police he did not know the men. The incident happened around 5:50 p.m. Dec. 3.
Police say the investigation is on-going.
