Tuscaloosa County Circuit Judge Scott Donaldson has been appointed to the Alabama Court of Civil Appeals by Governor Robert Bentley. The Tuesday appointment fills a vacancy left after Judge Tommy Bryan won his November election for the Alabama Supreme Court.
Scott Donaldson practiced law for 18 years before becoming a circuit judge in Tuscaloosa in 2003. The appointment of Donaldson to the Court of Civil Appeals leaves an immediate vacancy in the 6th Judicial Circuit. Governor Bentley says he will begin the process to appoint a new circuit judge in Tuscaloosa.
