Alabama’s 3rd District Representative Mike Rogers released a statement on Wednesday opposing efforts to reinstate gun controls proposed by President Barack Obama.
Rogers said that he opposes bans on assault weapons and restrictions on ammunition purchases and accessories. He also said that he will oppose any Executive Order issued by the President that is designed to circumvent the legislative process and limit gun rights.
Rogers said he does not support “further limitations on the Second Amendment rights of law abiding citizens.”
