OKC wins game 1 of finals!
The NBA Finals took off with game 1 last night as the two best teams of this season competed for victory. The first half was in the Heat’s favor as they got contributions from Mario Chalmers and Shane Battier for 26 total points. Oklahoma City Head Coach Scott Brooks knew that the defensive intensity had to increase in order to get back in the game. Kevin Durant took on the responsibility to guard Lebron James when Sefalosha was on the bench. Heat Coach Eric Spolestra took plenty of criticism for not starting Chris Bosh as he had a subpar game. Dwayne Wade did not seem his usual self either as he scored 19 points on 7-19 shooting. In the second half, the Thunder came with a noise unlike any other as Durantula and Westbrook showed hoe talented they were. Durant scored 17 of his 36 points in the 4th quarter alone as Russell Westbrook sprinkled six points. Together they scored 41 second half points and the Heat as a team only scored 40. OKC dominated the second half to put themselves up in the series 1-0. Game 2 will begin Thursday night at 9:00ET on ABC.
