Police are investigating an alleged act of domestic violence involving an automobile that took place on Turpin Avenue Thursday night.
A 52-year-old man told Anniston police his girlfriend struck him with their car outside their home after an argument late Thursday, according to police Lt. Fred Forsythe. The man said that after a heated exchange with the woman, a 30-year-old Anniston resident, he left their home and started walking down Turpin Avenue. A few minutes later, he said, he was struck in the back by the Honda he and his girlfriend shared.
Forsythe said the man was taken to Stringfellow Memorial Hospital and released Thursday night. The police report did not indicate the man suffered any injuries.
Police had made no arrests as of Friday morning, Forsythe said.
