The Alabama Department of Transportation announces lane closures on Interstate 59 northbound and southbound at various times to perform work in Jefferson County for the following: •Sunday, May 6 at 9 p.m. until Monday, May 7 at 6 a.m., paving operations will be done on the northbound (outside) lane and ramps on I-59 from the 19th and 18th Street Interchange in Bessemer (milepost 111) to the Allison/Bonnet Interchange (milepost 115). •Monday, May 7 at 9 p.m. until Tuesday, May 8 at 6 a.m., paving operations will be done on the northbound and southbound lanes of I-59 from the Allison/Bonnet Interchange (milepost 115) to the 19th and 18th Street Interchange in Bessemer (milepost 111). The same procedure will be followed the following three nights.
