The Alabama Department of Public Safety is reporting two fatal accidents in the Central Alabama area on Monday. The first accident was a single vehicle accident that occurred around 11:30 a.m. near Nauvoo in Walker County on AL-5. 37-year-old Tina Williams Alexander was killed while driving a 1997 Nissan Altima. A 7-year-old male riding in the vehicle was taken to Children's Hospital. The second accident happened around 1:40 p.m. near Concord on Taylor's Ferry Rd. 25-year-old Mitchell Lynn Hubbard was killed while driving a 2001 Yamaha motorcycle. The driver of the other vehicle, 54-year-old Norma Duvall, was transported to UAB Hospital for injuries.
