The little girl killed after the Blue Angels air show in Tuscaloosa has been laid to rest. A funeral service for Haylee Brooke Burks was Saturday morning at First Baptist Church in Jemison. Several children attended the service with their parents since Haylee was just eight years old. Police say a drunk driver hit Haylee, her mom, and her three year old sister as they were leaving the air show March 31st. The Northport police officers who worked the crime scene led the funeral procession. Danny Ray Smith, 64, is charged with DUI, vehicular homicide, leaving the scene of an accident, and assault. Haylee's mom and dad have each filed a civil lawsuit against Smith. Smith's attorney says his client was not drunk and claims a medical condition may have contributed to the crash.
