Law enforcement officials at Oak Mt. State Park state they've moved "into recovery mode" in their search for a drowning victim.
State park officials tell state that an 18-year old black male was in a paddleboat, stepped out of the boat in shallow water, and that's when the boat began to float away. Witnesses tell rescuers the victim tried to swim after it, but went under.
A friend tried to come to his aid, but was unable to reach or recover him. The beach at the park is closed for the rest of the day as the recovery operation continues.
