Two suspects are currently in custody and several items stolen from patrol vehicles in Etowah County on February 5th have been recovered. "We are extremely pleased that tips from the public have helped us solve this case," says Sheriff Todd Entrekin. "Our communities are safer because these guns are no longer in the hands of criminals." One long gun, two AR15 shot guns and one bullet proof vest were found today at various locations in Etowah County. "The investigators and detectives are to be highly commended for their hard work on this case," Sheriff Entrekin says. "This is just another great example of what can be accomplished when law enforcement agencies work together." The investigation is still ongoing.
