The Gadsden Police Department says a large quantity of drugs were stolen after a burglar broke into a pharmacy through an exterior wall.
The burglary happened at Rains Pharmacy at 2106 Ewing Avenue. Police believe it to have happened between Saturday afternoon and Monday morning.
Officers say the suspect burrowed through an exterior wall and destroyed the alarm system.
Large quantities of controlled medications were stolen, including Morphine, Oxycodone, Fentanyl patches, and Hydrocodone. The value of the stolen medications was estimated at about $10,000 at the time of the report.
