Media reports say a 33-year-old Anniston woman was allegedly kidnapped around 8 p.m. Saturday while she was walking in the 500 block of West Blue Mountain Road.
The unidentified woman said two men and two women in a vehicle forced her to go with them, and was kicked and punched several times in the vehicle. She said she was forced out of the car somewhere in Alexandria, assaulted again and sexually tortured using some kind of weapon.
After more than two hours, the woman was driven back to Anniston and dumped from the vehicle not far from where she was picked up. The woman filed a police report shortly before midnight on Saturday and Sgt. Chris Sparks with the Anniston Police Department said she had several injuries on her body.
Police tell The Anniston Star that they are following up on leads and don’t believe the assault to be random.
