An Anniston man has been arrested after allegedly attacking an officer. Terry Winslett is charged with assault second degree. Police say it happened at a routine traffic stop Friday afternoon at the intersection of Noble Street and Highway 202 when a police officer was checking the identity on a passenger in car. Police say a check revealed the man gave false ID and when the officer confronted him, he tried to flee. Police say the officer was thrown against the car in the ensuing struggle. The officer was treated at the scene and not seriously injured.
