A Tuesday morning drug roundup in the northern end of the state resulted in 23 arrests according to The Gadsden Times.
County sheriff’s departments along with the Alabama Department of Pardons and Paroles took part in Tuesday’s drug roundup. Deputies with more than two dozen warrants in hand began the operation just before 2 a.m. in the northern end of Marshall County.
A total of 20 people were arrested in Marshall County, and three others were arrested in Huntsville and Jackson County after a seven-month investigation into the distribution of methamphetamine, marijuana, and prescription pills. Twelve of those arrested were from the small Marshall County town of Grant.
21 offenders were taken to the Marshall County Jail and two others were taken into custody by Guntersville police. The Times reports that some of those sought weren’t at home, but deputies will continue searching until they are in custody.
