Michelle Thacker, cousin of Carla Fuqua, says her family will not rest until Fuqua's killer is found.
"We're glad that we found her, we're glad we have her back, but we don't have closure," said Thacker. "We'll have closure when we find out who did it to her."
Fuqua had been missing since December of 2009. Law enforcement found her remains in Calhoun County earlier this month.
Family and friends gathered at the Thompson Funeral Home, in Piedmont. As a steady rain poured, they said their goodbyes. Fuqua's aunt, Diane Anthony says, she touched many lives.
"People loved her, I don't know what else to say other than, she was a loved person. She's going to be missed," said Anthony.
Fuqua was buried at Highland Cemetery in Piedmont.
Informant tips led to her body being found. Anyone with any information about her death is encourage to contact the Calhoun County Sheriff's Office.
