Birmingham police blocked off part of Interstate 65 after they found a person dead inside a vehicle on Sunday night.
The body was found by police inside a car around 11 p.m. The car was on I-65 near the University Boulevard exit, sitting next to the concrete median. Police have identified the victim as 28-year-old David DeRoncey.
Investigators say evidence at the scene made them classify this case as a homicide. So far, no arrests have been made. If there is anyone who has information pertaining to the case, they are encouraged to contact the B.P.D. Homicide Unit @ 254-1764 or Crime Stoppers @ 254-7777.
