Auburn University plans to open a Student Veterans Resource Center one day after the national holiday for Veterans Day.
The center's director, Johnny Green, stated that it will open Tuesday in Foy Hall. It will feature a day room, multiple digital conference rooms and computer stations where student veterans may check email or perform course work. The Auburn Student Veterans Association will also have office within the center. Green says the center is partnering with others to provide services ranging from career placement to academic advising and health promotion.
About 290 military veterans are enrolled at Auburn.
