A fire broke out Sunday afternoon atop the old Macy's building at Riverchase Galleria. Hoover Police officers and Hoover firefighters were called to the construction site. The area is currently a construction zone and work was being done on the roof of the building. Customers at Costco across the street said they could see smoke billowing from the roof. The fire is reported to be under control. No injuries were reported. Police are keeping they area secure while firefighters and authorities investigate.
