Auburn head coach Gene Chizik says the Auburn Tigers will not be giving up, but he is not pleased with his team's performance against Georgia.
"We didn't play good in pretty much any phase of the game. I think the score indicated that," said Chizik in his postgame news conference.
The Tigers were shut out 38-0 in the rivalry game against the Bulldogs on Saturday. It is the most lopsided point difference between the teams in the rivalry series.
Coach Chizik says Auburn will try to put the loss behind them.
"We got a senior class that will play their last game at Jordan Hare. It's very important that we can come back and go to work and make sure that they can come out of their senior season with the last game at home as a win," said Chizik.
Chizik says he plans to keep working with the team, despite the disappointing season.
"We're going to continue to swing away and try to improve," said the coach.
