Two motorcyclists on their way to deliver teddy bears to patients at Children's Hospital of Alabama were involved in an accident Saturday afternoon. The wreck happened on I-459 southbound, near the Overton Road exit. State Troopers confirm one person died at the scene
Clark Scott, 56, of Childersburg, died in an accident on Interstate 459 South involving two motorcycles, the Alabama Department of Public Safety reports. Clark was killed after he crashed the 1988 Harley Fleetside his was riding at mile marker 25 in Irondale at approximately 12:22 p.m. The other person injured in the crash, James Standifer, 66, also of Childersburg, was transported to UAB Hospital. He was riding a 2005 Kawa Vulcan.
