A California man is in custody after prosecutors claim he flew to Birmingham to have sex with who he believed would be a 13-year-old boy.
45-year-old Mark Robin Rainwater is charged with enticing a minor to engage in illegal sexual activity. He was arrested October 12 at the Shuttlesworth-Birmingham International Airport. His attorney, Tommy Spina, waived preliminary and bond hearings this week. Rainwater has been moved from the Jefferson County Jail but remains in federal custody.
