A preliminary autopsy indicates an Anniston attorney died of accidental drowning. Attorney Randy Brooks was found dead Sunday afternoon while practicing scuba diving. The 60-year-old Brooks was practicing for a diving trip he had planned to take this coming weekend in Mexico. A worker at the Diveland Dive Park in Glencoe found him in shallow water. Forensics experts are testing his scuba equipment for any malfunctions. Brooks' funeral is set for Wednesday, Oct. 17 at 11 a.m. at the KL Brown Memorial Chapel in the Golden Springs area of Anniston. Family members will continue to receive visitors there tonight until seven at that funeral home. According to the AP, Brooks had been a certified advanced diver for about 25 years.
