The Etowah County Sheriff's Office says they have arrested a man after setting fire to an SUV. Deputies say 23-year-old Justin James Beason faces one count of first degree criminal mischief after allegedly setting fire to a 2002 Buick SUV on McCoy Road last Friday. The vehicle had been taken from a resident on North Hood, Gadsden. Investigator Randal Gilliland says Beason confessed that he set the fire in a written statement. He is currently being held in the Etowah County Detention Center on $2,500 bond.
