It's been reported that Whitney Houson apparently died of a prescription drug overdose,as Coronor reports state that there wasn't enough water found in her lungs to support drowning.
Obviously, we'll have to wait for toxicology reports to come back to have any real answers, but Whitney Houston's death is creating conversations about addiction in homes around the world. Prescription drug abuse is a growing epidemic and Xanax is one of the most commonly abused.
More than 6 million Americans admit to abusing prescription pills within in the past month.
Most people don't realize the dangers, especially if the pills are prescribed by a doctor. And when mixed with other drugs and alcohol, it's easy to create a lethal cocktail.
Unintentional drug overdose is now the second leading cause of accidental death in this country, second only to car accidents.
The family medicine cabinet is increasingly becoming a deadly drug dealer: Everyone please be responsible and careful!
