Weather permitting, between 7am and 7pm this Saturday and Sunday (July 28-29) the Alabama Department of Transportation will be working on Impact Attenuators, or crash cushions, on I-59 in Argo and on US 78 in Leeds. Here is the planned schedule: Saturday - The northbound and southbound lanes of I-59 at exit 148 (Argo Parkway) Sunday - The Eastbound and Westbound lanes of US 78 at exit 140 in Leeds (I-20 interchange), and the Southbound lanes of I-59 at exit 125-B (22nd Street). Some lanes will be closed in these areas during the repairs, so if you will be traveling in these areas, allow extra time for your trip or consider an alternate route. Also be sure to observe all posted work area signs and be extra careful in these locations.
