This week, a Pleasant Grove man accused of 20 counts of animal cruelty is expected in court.
Derrick Harris is scheduled to appear for a deposition on Wednesday afternoon. Police say Harris had 20 pit bulls that were underfed and injured. Harris was arrested at the Bessemer Post Office where he works as a mail carrier. The dogs are now in the hands of animal control.
