Parents are upset with BOE, Birmingham Board of Education, due to their lack of action on the financial budget. The BOE is planning on saving Birmingham City Schools about 12 million. Board members were suppose to vote on 200 employee layoffs, but ended up firing the schools Superintendent, Dr Craig Witherspoon.
School was suppose to start August 20, but will be pushed back so that the staff will be prepared.
