Anniston police are investigating an armed robbery that took place Tuesday night at a video game store.
Nearly $800 in cash and a business phone were taken from Replays Gameware on South Quintard Avenue before 9 p.m. by two gunmen wearing sunglasses and black baseball caps, according to Anniston police Sgt. Josh Doggrell.
Doggrell said the suspects left on foot. Because they had stolen the company phone, there was a delay in the store’s employee alerting the police, he said.
Only one person was in the store at the time, Doggrell said, and that person didn’t know the suspects. Nobody was injured during the crime.
Doggrell said on Thursday that police are following up on all leads in the case.
